Earth Art
Earth Art utilizes local natural materials such as stones, bermed earth, and native plant life to create a green form of artistic expression.
These projects are intended to offer meaningful connections for everyone to engage with the natural world. Eco-Land Art sites are interactive landscapes that allow for community and social engagements, merging both earth and art together.
They are designed to support the exploration of one’s senses and encourages interactions with using sculpted earth shapes, aromatic plantings and appreciation of shared habitats.
The vision for this project is to adopt underutilized spaces, and developing collaborations between nature and the arts, offering beautiful sanctuaries and synergistic experiences that inspire not only calm and centeredness, but also foster creative expression.
Sketch Of The Spiral before And After Development
The Spiral Labyrinth is our first public installation, and was completed in May 2024. Our project is approximately a two hundred stone land art construction based on one of the 12 basic designs found in nature.
Slowly walking this large stone construction planted with 85 thyme plants, allows for mindfulness experiences, re-connection to the environment and an activation of the senses.

About Our Project
This project is intended to offer places of Nature Attraction with the potential to engage various members of the community, such as children, teens, and seniors to participate in the utilization of these spaces for overall health and well-being.
In addition, these places offer a mindful respite for various individuals or small group activities that incorporate complementary forms of creative expression ranging from storytelling, creative writing, poetry readings, and music, focused on the themes of nature awareness.

Yorktown Median
Our next installation is planned for the Yorktown median at the corner of Yorktown Road and Rte. 1.
It will be designed as a habitat for birds and pollinators, with a meandering path that winds down the center of the 245 foot long space.
This Yorktown community was built in the early 1940’s by the military. This eco-art based installation will have a series of sculptural spires designed to honor those who served their country.

Story Stone Designs
We are also planning other sorts of installations as well. “Story Stone” designs are various small “vignette” spaces with a geometric mandala-like circular base of mosaic stone shapes. They are envisioned to invite one to step off a trail or walkway into a dedicated place that encourages one to activate stories that unfold by being in Nature.
The sites will have selected plantings of trees or native bushes planted in a crescent-like design on one side of the mandala, providing a container to inspire a story or poem.

Dog Park
Dog park sites are designed to have both four-legged companions and their owners in mind. These places are created to encourage unusual uses of environmental space, taking often underutilized or abandoned areas and transforming them into exciting places to walk with an animal or friend.
