The Spiral Labyrinth

About This Project

Intrepid Drive, North Kingstown, RI 02852

The Spiral Labyrinth is our first public installation, and was completed in May 2024. Our project is approximately a two hundred stone land art construction, planted with 85 thyme plants. It is based on one of the 12 basic designs found in nature. The design is mirrored in flower & fauna, sea life, the outer galaxy- even within us.

Slowly walking the spiral can be used as a tool for mindfulness, concentration, or contemplation. It can be used as a simple retreat, or a respite from a busy day, offering time to pause and refresh.
Make the spiral you own! Sit on the nearby stones and rest or enjoy the walk!

Walking the Spiral

Stand on the Threshold Stone…
Crossing a threshold brings you into a new space
Relax your breath, bringing your attention on the the space
Feel your feet on the earth…breathe
Walk slowly, bring awareness to your senses
At the center, pause and take a few breaths
Retrace your steps back to the threshold
