Shows were held in June, September & October

Wrapped in Nature is a wildcrafted, wearable art experience that rekindles our innate connection with the natural world. Created by artist Sara Seelenbrandt, the project was presented through four performances at The Spiral during the summer and fall of 2025. At the heart of her work is a mission to cultivate deeper relationships between humans and nature—awakening care, stewardship, and protection for the planet we share.

The project began with a pivotal meeting with the Eco-Land Art Project and artist Susan Fox, which opened an unexpected doorway. Given Sara’s background in fashion, the group initially invited her to host a fashion show at The Spiral. The original vision centered on eco-conscious clothing brands or designers working with reclaimed garments.

But after visiting The Spiral landmark, Sara felt called in a different direction. Rather than placing fashion at the center, she wondered if nature itself could become the main attraction. She asked a simple yet transformative question: What would it feel like to be wrapped in nature?

She returned home and began creating her first look using foraged materials—allowing the landscape itself to guide the design process.
